Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised

We are changing the way we deliver our teaching of phonics in Reception and Year One.  From September 2022, we are following Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised Programme; a systematic, synthetic approach to the teaching of phonics.  It is a system based on the original Letters and Sounds but extensively revised to provide a complete teaching programme meeting the expectations of the National Curriculum and preparing your children to go beyond the expectations of the year 1 Phonics Screening Check.

The resources on this page will help you support your child when they start to learn the sounds and write their letters in Reception.  The videos will show you how they are taught at school so you can feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
