Welcome to the West Bridgford Infant School PTA!

We are a friendly group of parents, carers and teachers who are dedicated to improving our children’s experiences throughout school by raising funds to pay for extra technology for their classrooms, play equipment for their playground and new books for the library - to name but a few! We are currently raising funds to improve the library and the shared area, and there are also some exciting plans for the playground!

To achieve our goals to provide the funds to enhance our children’s learning experiences we hold many fundraising events throughout the year including:

• Cake sales
• Discos
• PJ parties
• Christmas fayres
• Summer fayres
• Raffles
• Virtual balloon races
• Pumpkin carving competition
• Curry and quiz evening

We also organise the Y2 leavers item - this year we have produced hoodies which are always very popular. In the past, there have been tea towels, tote bags and other gifts. In addition to the usual Christmas cards and gifts, we have also organised Mother’s Day/Spring gifts and Father’s Day/Summer Gifts, which have all been a huge success. Every Christmas we provide the school Christmas tree and a special Santa gift for each class.

All parents and carers are naturally a part of our PTA, so why not come along to one of our regular meetings - they are casual and relaxed, and we welcome anyone to join us, even just for a drink and a chat! It’s a lovely way to get to know new parents and make friends. We put details of our meetings in our newsletters, so keep an eye out for the next date and we look forward to seeing you there!
